	There is no heat like the heat from a woodstove. It heats you through and through. It’s cozy and warm, and with E.P.A. certification, today’s efficient woodstoves burn cleaner and are environmentally friendly. In addition, the large viewing glass is kept clean by a built-in air wash, allowing an unobstructed view of the fire.
E.P.A. certified stoves come in two types: catalytic and non-catalytic. The catalytic stove was developed to meet the E.P.A. mandate for clean burning in the late 80’s. This ruling put many stove manufacturers out of business and drastically changed the way stoves operate. They are now much more efficient and clean burning, using less wood to heat the same area, with less ash and fewer emissions. The non-catalytic stove is a more recent development, which has largely replaced the catalytic stove due to its ease of operation and lower maintenance costs.
